Vincent's 6th Birthday!

We spent the morning of Vincent’s birthday parking hopping at 3 different parks in Yorkville with Keith and his friend.  The kids had a blast and we found a really cool park.  Unfortunately I listed to the kids and they convinced me that we could walk from the 2nd park to the 3rd park and it wasn’t far.  They were wrong…for a very pregnant lady carrying a 2 year old and dragging a 4 year old it was actually quite far!  In reality it was probably ½ a mile.  It was worth the walk, it was a really fun park in a castle theme and the kids loved it!

Afterwards we dropped Keith and his friend off and ended up getting Dairy Queen for part of his birthday treats.  For dinner we had a small get together with my dad, Azra, Bob, Sarah, Karoline and Keith.  We served Daddy’s world famous macaroni and cheese and cheeseburgers (something everyone else would like).  We had strawberries and angel food cake for dessert.  With whipped cream of course!  Uncle Bob was squirting the whipped cream into the kids’ mouths and they thought it was super cool and that he was really cool.

A couple weeks later we had his friend birthday party.  It included a treasure hunt complete with clues and a map.  Brad and I made a very detailed map and clues for the kids.  The kids loved it and it was fun hiding the treasure…it was in the bucket of the big excavator covered with leaves, etc.  Joel saw it and went to get it and slipped and fell in the bucket that was full of muddy water.  While we were there one of the kids found a chicken egg by the excavator too….not sure how long that egg was there!  The treasure was big squirt guns for all the kids.  They had a blast playing with them in the back yard and playing games and just being kids.  We did cake but hardly anyone, including Vincent wanted any.  Most of them just wanted the watermelon that I had cut up.

Kristine and her boyfriend Kyle stopped by during the birthday party and it was fun to see them.  They took Joel and played with him.  It was all fun and games until Kyle tried to get Kristine wet with the hose.  Joel got really upset and yelled at Kyle and told him “I fight you like a Skylander!”  If Joel is anything he is a protector!

Vincent had a great time at his party!
