The First Couple Days in Arizona.

The first full day we were in Arizona we were the only ones there.  That was nice because it gave the kids a day to check everything out and get used to their new surroundings without the chaos of having a full house.  They enjoyed the pond in the back.  They loved seeing the mountains and really enjoyed getting to swim in the pool.  It wasn’t very warm out, and the water wasn’t very warm, so I let Brad be the one to get in with the kids.  He didn’t seem to mind.

Later in the day the kids needed a nap, but didn’t really want to take one.   Brad and I took Joel and Cecilia for a walk in the stroller with the hope that they would eventually fall asleep.  They did not love that plan.  We had to walk a lot before they finally fell asleep, but it was good exercise, they got a good nap and Brad and I got to talk.  Several times during the week we had to do that.  One day Joel insisted he was laying in the basket of the stroller, so we let him.  We have learned that there are certain things that aren’t worth arguing about no matter how ridiculous it makes us look.  Joel took a fantastic nap in the basket under the stroller!

Actually the next day my mom, Dave, Kasi, Kennidy and Brandon arrived early in the morning.  That afternoon everyone needed naps. They all fell asleep and I was able to get pictures of most of them when we returned from our walk
