Church Plays

Vincent had a busy weekend a couple weeks before Christmas.  He had both the church Christmas play and his school play on the same day just a few hours apart.  He had lines to learn for both of them as well.  Since he isn’t proficient at reading he had no choice but to memorize his lines.  For church he had about 3 long lines and for school he only had 1 line.  All that was in addition to learning songs and gestures for the songs as well.  He is really good at memorizing and really enjoyed being in the plays.

The whole cast!

The superheros!  Keith was Superman and Karoline was Wonder Woman.

The entire cast again....and a lot of balding men.
Baby Jesus "Mitch" wasn't impressed with his role.
The church play was about Super Heroes and Christmas.  It was adorable and all the kids did a great job!  Kristine, Karoline and Keith were all in the play too.  Vincent had one of the most important lines, it was about Jesus dying on the cross to forgive our sins, and he nailed it!  My dad and Azra came and my dad loved when Vincent said his line so much he made him say it after the play so he could record it!

After a quick lunch we went to Vincent’s school for the preschool and Kindergarten Christmas program.  We had front row seats which was great.  Joel and Cecilia weren’t too thrilled to be sitting through another Christmas show, but they did pretty well all things considered.  During the play we kept noticing that Vincent was standing up and then sitting down when he wasn’t supposed to.  Everyone would be standing while kids were saying their lines and Vincent was sitting on the bleachers.  We thought he might just be tired from having his morning Christmas program.  We found out the next day that he actually had strep throat.
