The ride to
Easter was an interesting one. We had to
stop twice on the 1 hour 20 minute drive to my mom’s church for Joel to go to
the bathroom. It was after the second
stop that we thought taking the motorhome would have been a better decision
than taking the suburban. Due to the
potty stops and a train we were a few minutes late. On the way we were on the edge of a town and
there were some geese crossing the road.
They were almost off the road and Brad swerved toward them just to scare
them. The joke was on Brad because the
one quickly spread his wings and hissed at our car. We were laughing so hard, my grandma didn’t
see what happened and her hearing isn’t the best so explaining it was
entertaining too.
Easter was
great this year because it was a little more laid back. There were a few less people there, the
weather was gorgeous and we were able to be outside most of the time. Vincent was really excited because he hid
eggs for Joel and Cecilia to find and could hardly wait for them to hunt for
them. Although he also hunted for eggs
in the backyard and found them rather quickly.
The older kid egg hunt went well and our kids were all really into it
this year, which was a lot of fun. We also
had an adult scavenger hunt. Per the
usual Brad’s team was accused of cheating because they won. I was on that team and we didn’t cheat, ok we
kind of did. Apparently your team was
supposed to stick together, but this pregnant lady and my 2 year old sidekick
just couldn’t keep up. Other than that
we didn’t cheat and I think I should be given a pass for that.
