For the
second year Vincent participated in Bitty Basketball through Cross. It is really the only sport he has ever
done. He seems to like it but he
struggles to always pay attention to the coaches and not do things his own
way. He is a lot better about those
things than he was last year, but we still have room for improvement.
This year he
had a better understanding of the game and how to play offense and
defense. He even score a basket not only
in practice but in a game! The nets are
8 feet tall and it is hard for the preschool and kindergarteners to throw a
ball that high. The kids practiced once
a week and had games on Saturdays. It was
fun to watch the games, but keeping the other two entertained during the games
was tricky. Especially the couple games
Brad couldn’t come to because he was in the field.
One of the
best things about Bitty basketball was that the kids all loved to practice with
Vincent in the garage. Brad would move a
car out of the garage and let the kids practice throwing, dribbling and making
baskets into our tiny basketball hoop.
All three of the kids loved it and made huge improvements from the year
before! I also enjoyed watching Brad
work/play with the kids.
