Nephew Time!

 

The weekend after we got back from our trip there was a little bit of snow on the ground. We hadn’t had very much snow up until that point and we all wanted to go sledding.  We loaded up the kids and headed to the farm to the sledding hill.  Grandma Allison dropped Keith off there to go sledding with us.  Bob and Sarah were in Germany visiting the Claas manufacturing plant and Grandma Allison was in town holding down the fort.  Claas manufactures the combine that we use.

I have been married to Brad for 8 years and this was the first time I had ever been sledding on the famous sledding hill.  There wasn't enough snow to cover up the grass and horse poop on the hill, but we all had fun.  At the bottom of the hill is a fence for the golf course and you have to be careful not to crash into the fence.  You need to either stop yourself or jump off of the sled.  Keith wasn’t so lucky one time and he did crash into the fence.  Luckily it is very light weight, no one was hurt and we were able to fix the fence without any problems.

Since there were only two sleds we all took turns and then someone would drive the Ranger to the bottom of the hill and pick everyone up.  Vincent loved sledding and the fact that Keith was there made it even better!  Joel tried sledding a couple times, but one time down with me we hit a stick, flipped over and he face planted in the snow.  He was not thrilled about sledding after that and spent the rest of the time sitting in the truck eating snacks and watching a movie on my phone.  Cecilia spent her time wrapped in a blanket and riding up and down the hill in the Ranger.

Keith and Vincent had a lot of fun eating the snow.  They were cracking me up!  Brad decided it would be fun to make snow angels on the golf course green.  Keith was a little hesitant but he decided it sounded like fun.  Brad, Keith and Vincent all ran over and made snow angels!  On the way back Brad and Vincent were crawling on the golf course and pretending like the police were after them.  Keith walked on back by me and we watch Brad and Vincent while Keith made siren noises.

It isn’t often that we get Keith all to ourselves and we had a lot of fun with him!
