In the early morning hours my brother in law John and his family arrived at camp. In the dark they narrowly missed the spot where my in-laws motorhome was stuck the day before. Late that morning when it appeared that the rain was letting up we decided to attempt another ride. Being the smart people we are we brought 2 maps and had both boys ride double. My mother in law picked the blue trail which was a 7 mile loop. I found that out as we were leaving camp and quickly realized we were looking at 2.5-3 hours of riding with 2 small boys and a limited supply of snacks. When we were about half way the winds picked up and it started to rain. My niece was with us and was the first one to realize out loud that it was raining, we told her she didn't know what she was talking about. After all she is only in 4th grade and we were in denial. It quickly went from a mist to a downpour. My niece was the only one with a sweatshirt. Vince kept saying "I want to go back to the motorhome right now." It was hard to keep a positive attitude. We had a long ways to go and cantering back to camp was not an option since we had the boys, although we did contemplate it at one point. The only one who was enjoying the rain was Joel. He didn't make a peep until Brad tried to cover him up with a blanket. The rain stopped before we got back to camp and Joel once again cried when Brad took him off the horse.

That afternoon the sun came up and friends of ours joined us for dinner. Their 2 boys are close in age with our boys, so it was fun to watch the boys play together and we were able to visit.
