The Tuesday before Thanksgiving I loaded the kids up and drove to the Children's Museum in Rockford. We were meeting Katie, Olivia, and Deegan for a day of fun! The kids were very excited to see Katie! The Children's Museum in Rockford is unique because it has a huge outdoor playground. The playground has a construction area, a water table, and an area where you can dig for dinosaur fossils. It also had a few slides, bridges and other typical playground things. The best part was it was all enclosed so the children could not escape! Which was great because we kept losing sight of all the kids, the walls were tall on the walkways and the kids are short so you could only catch a glimpse of them once in awhile.

The museum had a great area for little kids (don't tell them I called them little), with a construction zone that had a crane, trains, a car to fix, a house, a store, a water table, and more! It is not an easy task to keep all the kids together so Katie and I did a little bit of dividing and conquering. Which was wonderful other than we didn't get to talk that much. The kids had a blast!

We did venture to other areas of the museum as well, but the kids other favorite area was the farm area. Go figure! They had live bees in a beehive that you could see into, a combine to "drive", an air chamber that balls could go through and shoot out at the other end and air that would help balls float. Joel and Cecilia loved that!

I knew the boys and Olivia would love the museum, but what I didn't realize is how much Cecilia would like it too. She played at the water table and with the floating balls and anything else I would let her get her hands on. She doesn't like to be left out!
