Four years ago today I became a mother to a little boy who has changed my life! He wasn't the easiest baby in the world and he continues to keep me on my toes, but I love (almost) every minute of it. Today my outgoing, caring, smart, inquisitive, fun, strong-willed Vincent Craig turned 4! He woke up and told me that he dreamed that "everything was back to normal and T-Rex wasn't mean and long neck dinosaurs didn't have big butts but you could still slide down their tails."

Vince had a pretty good day! We were still camping this morning and he got to have fruit for breakfast and play outside and go back and forth to the table (or other people's plates) eating as he wanted to. Later Papa Razzi and Grandma Dawn came to our campsite and Grandma brought cupcakes! Joel and Vince loved having a few cupcakes for breakfast. Joel is a cupcake monster!

Once we got home Vince got out of having a nap, ate more cupcakes, watched Vince's favorite movies, read books, made more cupcakes, and then had dinner guests over. Grandma Pat, Papa Ron, and 2 college baseball players they are hosting (David and Cody) came over for dinner. Vince was so excited to have his "new friends" over. Vince couldn't remember their names, but he really didn't care. He instantly showed them to the toy closet and had them playing puzzles on the floor. They were nice enough to play games with him inside, play on the tree house outside, and they even caught fireflies with him. Although Vince kept bringing his fireflies into the house to "keep them until tomorrow."

What does this 4 year old like to do? Play monster trucks, make up games (the rules tend to change mid game so he can make sure he will win), run around, watch documentary type films (Modern Marvels, nature type shows, etc), and learn how things works. He is curious and just wants to know everything and figure out how everything works! Tonight as I was putting him to bed he said "Mommy, can you teach me how to read and how to speak Spanish?" I taught him a few words in Spanish and told him what a couple words were in his book, but that was not satisfying him. He was truly concerned that he didn't know how to speak Spanish or read and he wanted to know NOW. It is that determination that is going to take him far.

We have truly been blessed with a wonderful little boy, who would probably have a melt down if he found out I called him a little boy and not a big boy. He has changed our life for the better and it is hard to believe he is already 4! I am excited to see what this year holds for him.
