Monday

My Monday didn't get off to the best start!  Vince had two accidents in the house and was not listening to directions and Joel was climbing on everything in sight.  Not a huge deal but I was trying to get both the boys cleaned, dressed and out the door because Vince had an appointment to get a cavity filled and Joel needed to be dropped off at the babysitters.  On the way to the dentist's office Vince and I were stopped for 10 minutes at a railroad crossing because of a truck working on the train track that got stuck at the crossing.  It was a bad sign when all 4 people in the truck were out walking around it and using a crowbar and lifting levers and not getting anywhere.  They did finally get it moved!  Luckily the day got better from there!

Vince's dentist did a wonderful job explaining things to Vince like he was a big kid, but using simple not scary terms.  Vince sat still and followed all the directions and never got scared.  The nitrous oxide mask helped a lot!

After we picked up Joel we met up with Brad.  Brad and one of our employees were spraying fungicide near the home farm and the boys and I wanted a ride!  Unfortunately Joel fell asleep right about then so we had to stay in the car while Vince took his ride.  It was the first time Vince rode in the buddy seat without falling asleep and he was in there for over an hour!  After his ride Brad needed to go get another load of water, so our employee kept spraying and Brad and Vince took the semi to get more water.  Another hour or so spend with Daddy and Vince was thrilled!  On the car ride home he cried because "He wanted Daddy."  Joel and I eventually did get to ride in the sprayer and had fun but after 20 minutes Joel was no longer amused.

Vince must of loved his day Monday because Tuesday we had to keep pretending to go to the dentist, or drive the sprayer, or drive the semi to get water.  Joel  even got to drive the sprayer when Vince and I had to go get more water!  Vince explained everything to me about the water truck and how to hook up the water and what the corn medicine was for and that you get the water from Matt but there isn't a house.  After talking to Brad today I discovered that it was Matt who was there when they stopped at the local co-op to get water and Vince couldn't figure out why there wasn't a house at the co-op.  I love how he soaks up everything he sees and hears!

Never thought I would be installing car seats in semi trucks, but the boys love riding in there!

1st trip to the dentist

Vince has his first trip to the dentist last week.  I had really talked up going to the dentist for the last month or so and he was excited!  He wanted to meet the dentist, see the tools and the water sucker.  I was still a little worried he would freak out, but he did wonderful!  He let them count his teeth, clean his teeth, floss his teeth and followed all the hygienist and dentist's directions the first time they asked.  A skill I wish he would work on at home, I am so tired of repeating myself all the time.  Here is a picture of him at the dentist!  They gave him sunglasses so the lights wouldn't bother his eyes and a brand new Lightning McQueen toothbrush.  Afterwards he got to pick out 2 prizes from the prize basket.  Unfortunately one of his brand new molars has a small cavity, so we are going back in a couple weeks to see some more tools.  Vince is thrilled and I am not!

Excited to be at the dentist!
