Most of our kids have nicknames or little names we call them or their sibling call them, some more than others. Some make sense and most don't.
V: Vince, Vincente
J: Joel-o, Fax Sito, Joel (with Spanish pronunciation)
C: See-ya-ba-de-ya, Berdene, Sa-zee
D: Dean-o, Herbie, Nenenger, Moyer
V doesn't like to be called Vinny, except by Uncle John. Not sure why he can get away with it.
J decided this fall that he didn't like farmers or farming. Farmers are boring and he wants to be a firefighter, but not one that goes inside by the fire. He is going to stay by the truck and use the hose. Or he is going to teach preschool. Anyway, he used to be a Sito, they weren't farmers. But all the Sitos died and he was stuck being a Stewart. But his real name is Joel (pronounced in Spanish Ho-L) Fax Sito (See-toe). He even spelled it for me. Fax is the middle name and Sito is the last name. So we called him that for weeks and still call him Fax Sito.
D calls C Sa-zee. He can say her name but doesn't call her that and now all of us call her Sa-zee. I tend to use Sa-zee more than her actual name.
Nenenger (probably spelled wrong) is from Veggie tales. Brad started it and I have no idea why. Moyer is also from Veggie tales. His nick name is Moyer the Destroyer in the movie and it just fits.
